To setup Your Orbi device follow these steps for Netgear Orbi Setup.
The Orbi router's ring LED turns off after the setup is complete.
Orbi Setup With Internet Setup Wizard
You can use the Setup Wizard to detect your Internet settings and automatically found out your
router.
To use the Setup Wizard:
1. Launch an internet browser from a computer or mobile device that's connected to your Orbi
network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window opens.
3. Enter the router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and
password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Setup Wizard.
5. Select the Yes radio button.
If you decide on No, you're taken to the web Setup page.
6. Click subsequent button.
The Setup Wizard searches your Internet connection for servers and protocols to
determine your ISP configuration and checks your operation mode.
- Unplug your modem and take away and replace the backup battery if it uses one.
- Plug the modem back in.
- Connect your modem to the yellow Internet port on your Orbi router using the included coaxial cable .
- Connect your Orbi router to an influence source.
- Note: If the facility LED on the rear of the Orbi router doesn't light, press the facility On/Off button.
- Wait for the Orbi router's ring LED to light solid white then pulse white.
- Place the Orbi satellite within the middle of your house to urge the simplest WiFi coverage.
- Connect the Orbi satellite to an influence source.
- Note: If the facility LED on the rear of the Orbi satellite doesn't light, press the facility On/Off button.
- Wait for the Orbi satellite's ring LED to light solid white, then pulse white, then pulse magenta.
- Note: The Orbi satellite's ring LED might pulse magenta for up to at least one minute while the satellite attempts to sync with the Orbi router.
- After the Orbi satellite's ring LED pulses magenta, it lights one among the subsequent colors for 10 seconds then turns off:
- Solid blue. The connection between the Orbi router and Orbi satellite is sweet .
- Solid magenta. The Orbi satellite cannot hook up with the Orbi router. Move the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router.
- Solid amber. The connection between the Orbi router and Orbi satellite is fair. Consider moving the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router.
- Note: If the Orbi satellite's ring LED remains pulsing magenta after about one minute, and you already moved the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router, press the Sync button on the Orbi router and on the Orbi satellite.
- If the Orbi satellite successfully syncs with the Orbi router, the Orbi satellite's ring LED pulses white, then lights solid blue to point an honest connection, then turns off.
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the Orbi router or satellite with an Ethernet or WiFi connection.
- Note: to attach with WiFi, find the preset WiFi network name (SSID) and password on the label on the Orbi router or satellite and hook up with that network from your WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device.
